1. Type one letter into each of the empty text fields. In the first two spaces of a current style registration, you cannot use the letters I, Q or Z. The number plate to the right of the text fields shows you which letters you have selected. If you do not select a letter in a text field, it will be shown on the number plate as 'ANY', which means that a search will look for all letters available in that particular space.

2. Next, select a number combination from the drop-down list in the middle part of the registration. Click the mouse over the empty box and you will see a list of the number combinations available. Simply click on a number combination to select it.

3. Now select three more letters in the remaining empty text fields to make up the rest of your registration. In this part of a registration, you cannot select the letters I or Q. Do this the same way as you did the first part of the registration.

4. Now select a price range using the two drop-down lists below the registration letter input boxes. If these are set to 'ANY' or left blank, the search will look for registrations of any price. By clicking on the drop-down lists, you can set minimum and maximum prices and the search will look for all registrations priced between these figures.
5. When you are happy with all the input settings for the search (what letters to search for and in which price range), click the 'SUBMIT' button and the search will return all results which match. If there are too many results to fit on the screen, click the 'previous page' and 'next page' buttons at the bottom of the screen to see more of your matches. There are buttons next to each registration displayed which let you view the plate, email the details to a friend, see details of how to purchase a registration and other options.
